Looking not so hip with Table Mountain backdrop

What can I say? Cape Town is simply one of the more visually arresting spots on this planet. Where else can you get a mountain that mesmerizing and the melding of two ferocious seas? Yeah…nowhere. Just look at the dumb grin on my face! I was giddy and I remain entranced by the city today. I am hoping to return and do a book on South Africa someday soon….!

WINE TASTING IN THE CAPE WINELANDS

Just look at all dem glasses!

As part of my fabulous tour through South Africa, courtesy of Giltedge Travel, I got to sample some of the fabulous area wines. From Franschhoek to Stellenbosch to Constantia – I drank (clearly refusing to spit, I mean really!) my way merrily through the region.

A special treat was had at the Graham Beck wineries where we were invited aboard a riverboat lunch cruise complete with homemade pies, chocolate pudding and enough wine to have me contemplating an afternoon swim.

The pumpkin pie was a savory version and may just be the new new at my next Thanksgiving
