Guestrooms are the main attraction at the inn, featuring such luxuries as king-size, pillow-top mattresses, high-quality linens and bathrobes and in-room minibars (a scorching rarity in Maine). Although the location, miles from Acadia National Park, a five-minute walk to town and an array of sailboat charters from which to explore the bay, the rooms do come equipped with all the latest technologies; Flat-screen TVs, DVDs, iPod docking stations and wireless internet. Beyond the amenities Camden Harbour Inn shines beyond its neighbors because of its distinct European-influenced hospitality. Touches like a complimentary glass of Prosecco upon or a full gourmet breakfast in the morning and afternoon tea and snacks provided for the guests’ enjoyment introduce the best parts of European inns while maintaining the service level of the American standard.
The Inn’s other majour coup is its award-winning restaurant, Natalie’s, which recently received the AAA four diamonds award for both lodging and dining making it the only lodging-and-dining establishment in Camden and one of only a few in Maine to receive this double distinction.
In keeping with the relaxation mode and boutique style, the Inn boasts a small spa service which offers in-room massages ranging from Deep Tissue to Classic Swedish, plus their signature treatment; Zero Balancing, which “balances the relationship of energy and structure within the bones and tissues of the body”.
The hotel’s main goal is to ensure the restfulness and enjoyment of its guests. They’ve employed what they call a ‘lifestyle coach along with a dedicated concierge’ to help guests both transition to a more peaceful lifestyle and coordinate whatever activities or leisure pursuits which may encourage such transformation. They’ve also got some tantalizing specials, particularly around July 4th, when Camden, a truly charming hamlet, becomes even more festive with a full-blown music festival.
